CHARACTER INFO
Name: Stephanie Brown
Gender: female
Source: DC Comics (pre-reboot)
Canon point: post-No Man's Land (more personally,
post-pregnancy, shortly after returning to superheroics)
Age: 15
Colour: #816687
Chumhandle: antitheticalProgeny
History: here
Personality: Steph's most noticeable trait is her stubbornness,
once she has her mind set on doing something - this is the girl who
ignores Batman repeatedly to keep fighting crime, and not always
behind his back. She will take a step back and regroup if something
drastic is thrown in her path, but if it's something she really wants
to do it won't stop her. On the other hand, if it's something she
isn't sure about yet, she'll usually go along with someone else, even
if it's against her inclinations. This happens a lot with her
still-developing moral code - there's still a part of her that expects
to end up as criminally-minded as her father, so when Robin challenges
her morally, she tends to capitulate.
Steph isn't very introspective, however. There are things that she
wants, but it's rare for her to know exactly why, or to spend a lot of
time puzzling her feelings out. If there's a chance for action rather
than introspection, she'll generally take it.
She's also got a dorky sense of humor that shows up in both casual and
serious moments, and a tendency not to take things seriously until
she's forced to. Sometimes the jokes are a front for genuine fear, but
she does have a tendency not to notice the danger of the things she
gets herself into.
Abilities & physical limitations: Steph is strong and athletic
for a teenage girl, and she also has pretty quick reflexes. She 's
been trained in martial arts some by Robin, although not that much.
Overall, her ability level is nothing astonishing for a high school
student.

Title: Scout of Nerve
In-game abilities: While Nerve as an aspect is meant to be read
as courageous, I'm shamelessly using the neurological meaning in terms
of powers, and leaning towards it being electricity based. The Scout
of Nerve's powers would be, in general, an ability to sense electrical
impulses. I'm still tentative on this, but this is the general
direction I'd most likely go in.
Planet: Land of Storm and Statuary. Storm is somewhat of a
misnomer, the planet feels poised on the brink of a summer
thunderstorm, with abnormally orange lighting and oppressive humidity.
This is the denizen's doing, as having stopped the storm has also
parched the landscape, leaving the consorts homeless. The consorts are
over-sized squirrels (if not squirrels, I would use pigeons - the aim
is mostly for something city-dwelling), who used to live in giant
redwoods that, through game magic, withered and died abruptly as soon
as the rain was stopped. Now the landscape is mostly cracked, dry
earth, with the only interruptions being massive Gothic statues.
RP Sample:
I slog into my room, after another looooong day at Gotham High. I
swear, the teachers this year almost seem to be expecting another
catastrophe with the amount of material they're throwing at us. I stop
myself from staring longingly at my bed - sleep is for people who
aren't superheroes. Or I guess people who are ONLY superheroes. One of
those.
Considering my options, I figure I might as well start my mountains of
homework. If I'm lucky, a miracle will happen and I'll be able to nap,
but Mr. Jameson's nit-picky history paper requirements make me doubt
it. I power up the computer, and while it's taking its time starting,
head to get a snack. Robin helped upgrade it so it isn't completely
useless, but we couldn't completely overhauling without Mom noticing.
Reentering my bedroom, this time crunching an apple, I spot what I
must've missed the first time - there's an envelope laying on my desk.
Opening it, I find a CD inside - but no note or anything with it.
Unless the Baffler's made some serious upgrades in riddle technology,
it's got to be from Robin! Homework can wait, I put the disc into the
computer as soon as I can.
It isn't what I expected.
I was hoping there would be poetry, and I thought I'd find a meeting
location, or details of some crime to research. Instead, it looks like
a game. But if Robin sent it, it must be important. And I really don't
want to write that paper.
